Dear Colleague

It is my pleasure to present to you the July 2010 WFPMA newsletter WorldLink for you to distribute to your member associations and their members. As always, you can access this issue and past ones via the WFPMA web site www.wfpma.org.

We begin this issue with a report from the 62nd Annual Society for Human Resource Management Conference & Exposition in San Diego, California. I had the pleasure of attending this conference and its informative global HR sessions as well as getting to meet and visit with my colleagues from around the world. If you could not attend, WorldLink has summarized the best content for you starting on page 1.

After reading the SHRM Conference article, I hope it gets you excited for the incoming WFPMA's 2010 World Congress in Montreal, Canada, in September. The Ordre des Conseillers en Resources Humaines Agréés has put together a great program. On page 4, we give you a preview of the Congress as well as what to do while visiting the beautiful host city of Montreal. Don’t forget to register for the Congress by visiting www.HR2010.com.

No matter what country or industry you work in, managing corporate culture is a challenge for HR professionals. On page 5, communications consultant Mark Clemente gives practical tips on how to identify your culture and how to involve employees in improving it.

A global economic shift is occurring that has major implications for HR, according to the OECD's latest report, Perspectives on Global Development 2010: Shifting Wealth. On page 6, read an excerpt from this study to learn more about the reasons behind the shift and what opportunities and challenges lie ahead for global businesses.

"HR News Around the World" on page 7 compiles the latest global HR news you need to do your job and to keep you informed. As always, plan your next educational and networking opportunity using the HR Calendar on the last page.
